Aeron is the new standard of aviation safety powered by blockchain. It is a system that uses blockchain technology to track aircraft routine maintenance and pilot logs. The pilot’s application is used by a pilot for personal flight logging. The company application collects and verifies data from aircraft operators, maintenance organizations, flight schools and fixed base operators. In case of any mismatch in data between any Aeron data source with either the Air Traffic Control, pilot, or operator, aviation authorities can quickly detect and eliminate the problem. Aviation authorities can also detect any pilots operating with an expired license. As a consumer, or flight school student, you have access to the verified global database through aerotrips.com. Aeron is building a globally distributed database to manage flight, flight school, and pilot data. The electronic monitoring system can supervise pilots, so that they must reflect accurate flight time, flight logs and other data in a timely manner, making aviation more secure. Its ARN tokens are used to access valuable features on the Aeron platform, but are not limited by the Aeron mobile app.
The Aeron project was previously built on Ethereum, and it enters EOS ecosystem now. The ERC20 Aeron (ARN) token will be freely convertible into EOS-based token starting Dec. 2018. Both tokens will co-exist and be convertible to each other. The token swap interface is now live: https://i.aeron.aero/swap/
