1.3.1 The Value of OCT tokens
On July 26, 2017, the OracleChain issued the OCT tokens based on Bitshares. In the Oracle Chain system, the OCT token is the basis for ensuring the continuous operation of the entire oracle service.
OCT tokens represent the rights of its holders to use Oracle services on the OracleChain network. In the future, applications built on EOS ecosystem need to pay OCT tokens to acquire the data services provided by the OracleChain, which will in turn motivate the data feeders to continuously provide Oracle services . Oracle services continue to be provided on OracleChain. All the data feeders, which regularly participate in data feed, will attain a high reputation and be rewarded with OCT.

Through this double-effect mechanism, which we refer to as PoRD, OracleChain will effectively defend against hostile data feeders, thereby affecting the actual results of Oracle through malicious data feeds. The closed-loop assumption of OracleChain token system is relatively complete and can bring certain value support to the OCT token.
The total supply of OCT tokens was 200 million, and then 10 million tokens were destroyed due to policy reasons. The current circulating supply is less than 30 million. The price for crowdfunding in June 2017 was 0.9-1.3 yuan and the current token price was about 3.9 yuan.

1.Prediction market performance is not very prominent: At present, the main landing scenario for OracleChain is prediction market. The total market capitalization of the crypto currency market is about 3.5 trillion yuan, while the total market cap of the prediction market is about 12.8 billion yuan, accounting for only 0.36% of the total market cap. The prediction project with the highest market capitalization is Augur, which ranks only 35th in the global market cap，while other similar projects are ranked out of top 100, which shows that the forecasting segment is not prominent in the current blockchain market.

OCT tokens are issued on Bitshares platform, with a total amount of 200 million tokens. In June 2017, the team attempted to publicly sell a total of 30 million OCT tokens, but due to policy reasons, 12.16 million of tokens were returned. Among the returned tokens, 10 million OCTs will be locked and planned to be destroyed, and 2.16 million plans to be returned to investors when the OracleChain is formally launched.
